News for San Japan 2009:

San Japan announces third round of guests for 2009 convention

Kyle Hebert and Johnathon Joss among the announced guests

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - June 15th, 2009 - San Japan, San Antonio's major Japanese Culture and Anime Convention, has announced the third round of guests for its convention happening on August 14th-16th, 2009 at the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium and El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel along the famous San Antonio Riverwalk. San Japan is proud to announce that voice actors Kyle Hebert and Johnathon Joss will be making their first time appearance at San Japan with the return of Samantha Inoue-Harte. San Japan is also proud to announce the return of popular convention artist Amelie Belcher and the return of cosplay guests CapsuleCorp, Shoeless Cosplay and DigitalDimension Cosplay.

Kyle Hebert is a Los Angeles-based animation and video game voice actor best known from Naruto as Kiba, Bleach with Aizen and Ganju, Street Fighter IV with Ryu, Gurren Lagann with Kamina and Dragonball Z as the Narrator along with teen Gohan. Kyle co-hosts a podcast dedicated to news on all things geeky called The Big Bald Broadcast. You can download episodes and keep posted on his latest projects at www.kylehebert.com.

Jonathan Joss is a Native American actor. Born in 1965 in San Antonio, Texas, he went to McCollum High School alongside independent filmmaker and best friend Mark A. Watson, where they studied both Drama and Choir, and worked together on such theatrical plays together such as El Gallo. He is known mostly for the voice of John Redcorn in the animated series King of the Hill. He is also part of a band called The Red Corn Band.

Amelie Belcher travels the country selling her award winning art, doing one of a kind commissions for con goers, giving the best damn panels on earth, and being paid tribute to by her army of fans known as the "Ami Army" in the form of Pocky and manga. Known as "the angriest chick on the net", she is the creator of the popular web comic "The Real Life Adventures of Amelie" at Cordeval.com.

CapsuleCorp has completed over 60 commissions, won 13 masquerade awards including three best in class awards at CONvergence and Best in Show at FilmCon, and is poised to become certified a Master costumer. In their recent years as a cosplaying duo Shoeless Cosplay, they have won two Best In Shows, two Judge's Award, and a Best Skit Award. Participating in cosplay competitions is something that fascinates Shoeless because of its theatrical nature and the amazingly unique costumes that are involved.

San Japan will be happening will on the weekend of August 14th - 16th, 2009 alongside the famous Riverwalk at the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium and the El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel. Pre-registration is currently open for $35 for a discount 3-day weekend pass. Hotel rooms will be available at the El Tropicano Riverwalk for a special convention rate of $114 per night. The early pre-registration price and the discount hotel rates are available until July 15th.
