Biography:
Bruce Harwood has wanted to be an actor as far back as he can remember - as long ago as grade 3, when he played the top of a totem pole in a school play - but he only started acting professionally in 1986 after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a BFA in Theatre Performance. The following year, he snagged a supporting role in the Disney sci-fi mini-series EarthStar Voyager, and since then has worked on such shows as 21 Jump Street, The Beachcombers, MacGyver, The Outer Limits, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Stargate SG-1, Andromeda, Smallville, The Dead Zone, The L Word, DaVinci's Inquest, Whistler, Reaper, Supernatural, Motive, When Calls the Heart and The Flash.

He is also a founding member of Vancouver's summer Shakespeare festival, 'Bard on the Beach'. Back in 1993 he landed a small character part on a struggling, little-known TV series called The X-Files. To his amazement, it turned into a 9-year recurring role and a leading role in a 13-episode spin-off called The Lone Gunmen. He makes his home in Vancouver, Canada, with Heather, his wife of 25 years, and Missy, their sweet little tuxedo cat.
