Biography:
Sumalee Montano can now be seen in the action series, Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol currently streaming on NBCU's Peacock TV. Following, Sumalee will be seen starring in and producer of Orsi Nagypal's sci-fi adventure film, The Deal.
Past projects onscreen include her recurring roles on NBC's This Is Us, HBO's Veep, ABC's Scandal; and CBS' Star Trek: Picard and S.W.A.T.
Sumalee has also leant her voice to nearly 200 roles across film, television and triple-A video games. Currently you can hear Sumalee on Disney Channel's animated comedy The Ghost and Molly McGee as both 'Mom/Sharon McGee' and 'Grandma Nin.' Most notably, Sumalee was a part of Hub TV's Emmy Award-winning Transformers Prime where she played the female lead role of 'Arcee.'
Offscreen, Sumalee is an advocate for telling intergenerational stories that center multicultural talent in front of and behind the camera. She is a producing partner of LinLay Productions alongside Grace Lay. LinLay's latest project, "Nanny" won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival.
