Biography:
Aya Suzuki is an animator and layout artist raised and trained in the UK and Japan, working in the animation industry on an international basis.
In 2005 she receives a BA (Hons) degree in Film and Animation Production at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth (UK). Her graduation film 'Wooden Island' received several award nominations and screenings at various festivals such as Annecy (France), Hiroshima (Japan), KROK (Russia), ANIFEST (Czech Republic).
After graduating, she is head hunted by Director Sylvain Chomet, which results in her working on the Oscar nominated animated feature film 'The Illusionist' as an storyboard artist and animator.
In 2010, Aya moves to Tokyo where she works on various projects such as the Oscar nominated 'The Wind Rises' by Hayao Miyazaki, the Japanese academy award winning 'Wolf Children' by Mamoru Hosoda, 'Beyonetta' by Fuminori Kizaki, 'Death Billiards' by Yuzuru Tachikawa and 'The Dreaming Machine' by Satoshi Kon.

Presently she is based in London where she continues to work on various animation projects.
Such works include, 'Ping Pong' by Yuasa Masaaki, 'The Prophet' by Roger Allers and 'Simon's Cat' by Simon Tofield.

Aya also works as a lecturer teaching animation to thriving new talent and travels internationally to share her experience at festivals and conventions.
