Biography:
Lydia Mackay is a native Texan with deep roots in the live theatre scene. She has a BFA in Theatre Arts and an MFA in Acting, and has been 'treading the boards' for over 15 years. Primarily a stage actress, and a theatre teacher, Lydia got her start in the wonderful world of voice over when she auditioned for FUNimation's new show Dragon Ball Z (way back in the day). And since then, she has voiced over 80 characters on a wide range of shows. Some of her most notable characters include Trisha Elric/ Sloth for Full Metal Alchemist, Madame Red for Black Butler, Sis forEden of the East, Ukraine for Hetalia, Amalia Trohovski for Jormungand, Shion for Psycho Pass, Tsukiumi for Sekirei, and Naomi Miwa for the feature film Summer Wars. Lydia currently teaching acting and other classes at TCU in Fort Worth, is a private acting coach, and continues her own acting career on stages, in studios, and voice over booths across North Texas. And by the time Shuto Con is in full effect, she will also be a certified yoga teacher! She is represented by the Mary Collins Agency of Dallas and is a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association. Lydia is THRILLED to be making her Con debut at the Shuto Con, because the best fans in the world, are ANIME fans!
