Jeff Day
Writer / Director
Maine
Biography:
Jeff Day got his start in 1990's era Chicago as a hired hell-raiser for the notorious SKiN GRAFT records/comics label, co-creating and acting in absurdest theatrical skits for OOPS(!) Theater to accompany the label's impressive roster of bands on US tours. He has drummed for countless bands you've never heard of, including Bobby Conn and Monitor Radio. He periodically wrote for Chicago's Lumpen Magazine, releasing several short stories and a live bootleg compilation CD for an anniversary issue. Jeff is the co-creator of Vacationlanders: The Unorganized Territories of Maine, c. 2015-2016. His film experience includes writing, producing and acting in numerous award winning short films as well as acting in Gitgo Productions feature film "The Crew" and the web series "No Refund For Content." His current projects include a feature documentary about the Maine Military Museum and it's contributors and caretakers, as well as a full-length film about a roller skating holiday starring comedians Bob Marley, Jake Hodgdon, and many Maine improvisational luminaries. Episode 6 of Vacationlanders promises to be movie length and will pave the way for Season 2 of the series. When Jeff is not busy with film work or his full-time job of piano moving, he enjoys maintaining and riding his vintage German motorcycles at The Treefort Cycleshop, of which he is a founding member.
