Biography:
Hanyaan is a cosplayer who, armed with a sewing machine, piles of fabric, a bunch of wig styling implements, and a case full of makeup, is on a quest to become FABULOUS MAX.

Eleven years ago, a friend of hers told her that if she went to the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in San Francisco dressed as her favorite anime character, they'd give her free stuff! She grabbed a very poorly chosen assortment of fabric and some spray-in haircolor and threw together something horrible and hot glue and Slayers. The result was a bit of a disaster, but she'd never forget the lesson she learned that day: Cosplay is more fun than it has any right to be.

After that rather inauspicious beginning, Hanyaan began to take her cosplaying more seriously, picking up sewing techniques as she went, studying theatrical makeup, special effects makeup, and makeup for the film industry, and eventually specializing in wigs and hairstyling. She's won awards for craftsmanship at the master level, has multiple performance awards, performs at masquerade halftimes up and down California as a member of Angel Hearts (a dance group specializing in iDOLM@STER), and hurts people's eyes with creations from her favorite manga, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. From California to Comiket, wherever she can go� No source material is too obscure, no color scheme too garish, no fabric too tacky. Hanyaan is going to fabdazzle the world, and San Japan is just one new stop on the FABULOUS train.
