Biography:
Rem is an American artist, illustrating and scripting the SOULLESS manga adaptation of the Parasol Protectorate novels (by Gail Carriger) for Yen Press; Volume 1 debuted as #2 on the New York Times Manga Bestsellers list. Her short story Devil's Candy won the grand prize of the first TOKYOPOP Rising Stars of Manga award, after which she drew TOKYOPOP's manga adaptation of the Vampire Kisses novels (by Ellen Schreiber). After spending two years working as a 2D illustrator and graphic designer on projects for ACCLAIM and DISNEY, she went on to win the Grand Prize of Morning Magazine's International Manga Competition. She's also the current illustrator and character designer of the original light novel Tokyo Demons. Her favorite thing in the world is when people's faces melt off in movies.
