Biography:
Multiple Nebula Award-winning writer Esther Friesner has seen the publication of forty-one novels, three single author collections, and two hundred three short stories to date. She is the editor of eleven anthologies and is best known for having created, edited, and contributed the popular Chicks In Chainmail series. She has also published two Star Trek novels, the novelization of Men In Black II, poetry, and nonfiction articles, besides twice seeing the professional production of one of her plays. Although her reputation is mainly about humor, she has added to it with the YA historical Princesses of Myth series whose eight volumes imagine the girlhoods of Helen of Troy, Nefertiti, Himiko of Japan, and Maeve of Ireland. She is now working on an exciting new series, details under wraps for the time being. She holds a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale university. She likes to keep busy.
