Dreamwave Productions
Dreamwave Productions
Markham, ON, Canada
Biography:
Founded as a studio in 1996 by brothers Pat Lee and Roger Lee, Dreamwave Productions exploded onto the comic book scene with their first in-studio offering, Darkminds. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the industry's premiere publishers, producing a variety of original titles including Warlands, Echo, and Fate of the Blade. Aside from its original creations, the publisher also runs a successful licensing division.
Dreamwave established itself as an industry heavy-weight in 2002 when it launched an all-new Transformers comics line. The return of the 80's icons shattered industry sales records, garnering critical as well as commercial acclaim. Dreamwave has continued to work with Hasbro to produce top notch Transformers comics, posters, lithographs, apparel, box-art--even online "webisodes". On the horizon for the licensing division is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a comic series based on the all-new 4Kids/Mirage Studios animated series.
