Biography:
From Edinburgh, Scotland but now living in Japan. He studied Psychology and Sociology in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London Universities. His published work includes the graphic novel ANGEL OF THE WOODS, the story CHIMPIRA in MANGA MOVER, the poem comics in BEAUTIFUL THINGS and the historical manga THE JAPANESE DRAWING ROOM (with artist Sakura Mizuki, of THE RING horror manga). His first published story came out in 1998 in a book and display of a major exhibition of comic art in London.
He is currently working on a comic book to be published in Japanese. As well as writing comic books he is also a film director, having made several cultural documentaries that have been shown on British television. Comic book writing though is closer to his heart. His comic/manga influences include Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Eddie Campbell, Jiro Taniguchi and Yoshihiro Tatsumi. His book at Demented Dragon is a manga biography of late 19th/early 20th C writer LAFCADIO HEARN titled "Lafcadio Hearn's Japanese Ghost Stories. Sean has also written a 40 page Yaoi manga story for Yaoi Press in the USA. Called GANG OF LOVE, it will appear in one of their books in August 2006.
