Biography:
Born in 1956, in Gunma Prefecture.
He was shocked by Fujio Akatsuka's Osomatsu-kun and wanted to be involved in a gag/comedy title.
Graduated from the Junior College of Tokyo University of Photography (current Tokyo Polytechnic University, Faculty of Arts). Worked in animation filming, karaoke video production, and video game companies before moving into animation direction.
His directing credits include "Kodocha (Kodomo no Omocha), "Fruit Basket (2001 version)", "Gag Manga Biyori" series, "Me and Roboko" and more.
