News for T-MODE 2010:

Wendee Lee to appear at T-MODE 2010

ALEXANDRIA, VA. (March 9, 2010) – T-MODE is thrilled to announce prolific voice actress and ADR director Wendee Lee as its newest guest for T-MODE 2010. T-MODE 2010 will take place April 16-18, 2010 at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, Va.

As one of the premiere voice artists on the cutting edge of anime, Wendee Lee has voiced numerous characters for over 300 series, games and films. Best known as the femme fatale Faye Valentine in the hit series "Cowboy Bebop," Wendee's career includes a wide array of characters ranging from Konata in "Lucky Star," Moegi in "Naruto," villainesses and robots on "Power Rangers" and Rumi in "Perfect Blue" to vamps like Sprocket in "Viewtiful Joe," Mitsuka in "DearS" and Loretta in "Wild Arms." And that's just to name a few.

Currently, Wendee is voicing roles in popular shows like "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" as the title character and "Bleach" as Yoruichi, Tatsuki and Ururu; all while voice directing a number of games and anime titles. T-MODE is honored to have her as a guest.

"There is a lot of excitement about Wendee's appearance at T-MODE 2010," said Sharvonique Renee Fortune, T-MODE Vice Chair. "Her stellar career and talent in the industry speaks for itself. She's probably appeared in at least one favorite series of anime fans everywhere. Couple that with the fact that she hasn't made a guest appearance in the Washington, D.C. area for so long and it's easy to see why."

Wendee joins an incredible roster of T-MODE guests: fellow voice actors Todd Haberkorn ("D.Gray-Man," "Claymore") and Cristina Vee ("Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha," "Anime TV"); author Roland Kelts ("Japanamerica"); musician Random ("Mega Ran") and webcomic artists Jessi and Matt Pascal ("Geeks Next Door") – with more to come.

Along with guests and performances, T-MODE 2010 presents video game tournaments, a Cosplay Variety Show and Masquerade Prom, live event sessions, an interactive video room, the Otaku Bazaar with vendors and artists and much, much more. T-MODE also offers several different membership options, including its signature collection of Otaku Passports for fans who prefer closer interaction with the convention guests. For a truly unforgettable weekend, check out the Otaku Passport Premier. Only five of these very special memberships will be sold, but T-MODE guarantees a VIP fan experience like no other. Registration is still open and available online at www.tmode.org.
