Online pre-registration goes live for Anime Festival Orlando 8

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Orlando, FL (February 6, 2007) ­Anime Festival Orlando (AFO), Florida's Favorite Japanese Animation Convention is being held August 3, 4 and 5, 2007 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on International Drive. Pre-Registration for AFO 8 went live last Thursday, February 1st with a special price of $35.00 for a 3 day membership lasting only until April 30, 2007. Be sure to hop onto the AFO 8 website today to take advantage of this amazing deal! Additionally, Pre-Registered Attendees checking into the Wyndham Orlando Resort on Thursday August 2, 2007 or earlier will receive exclusive access to Special Events on Thursday night. Though Anime Festival Orlando 8 is still about 6 months away, they already have a great guest line-up and some really exciting events planned. This year's theme is "RPG" modeled after many of the fans' favorite Role Playing Games whether they be trading card, live action, online or video games. Stay tuned to the AFO 8 website for the backstory that will tie into many of the main events; including opportunities for attendees to "level up" and gain "experience points."

This year, Anime Festival Orlando has the priveledge to announce Sonny Strait as one of their guests of honor as well as welcoming back Chris Patton, Travs Willingham, Chris Sabat, Doug Smith and Marc Handler. "Many of our guests take an active role in our theming and events throughout the weekend," said Karen Trudeau, convention chair for Anime Festival Orlando. "We're really excited about the panels and workshops that are already in the works for this year that have been suggested by the guests themselves."
